ACS Minnesota Area Board

The Minnesota Area Board is committed to help steward a high performing, innovative and reimagined MN American Cancer Society that connects the Mission to advocacy and sustained revenue growth; that innovates to meet the needs of diverse populations; that is metric driven, celebrating risk and pivoting its approach based on early outcomes; that is relentlessly pursuant of driving sustained impact and relevance within all MN communities. 

 

Our 2023 board priorities are to support ACS Minnesota’s efforts to provide resources to fund research that wins the fight against cancer:

 

To help inform the community of the challenges and options in the fight against cancer. Giving people the power to choose. Through education, we hope to help the community to make informed decisions about preventing, treating, and gaining access to the latest cancer information.

 

To help advocate so that change becomes a reality. Building a community to support our nonpartisan advocate affiliate, the American Cancer Society Action Network, we hope to support policies and legislation in order to bring about real change in our community.

 

To strategically develop services that support those on their cancer journey. The Boards hope is to provide tactical care to those who are in the midst of their cancer journey by offering tactics and strategies so that everyone knows that they are not alone in this fight.
